The Milgro Story

Milgro Nursery began in 1980 in the farming community of Oxnard, California. With humble beginnings, Gary Miller started the business with a vision to grow top quality and beautiful flowers, create a positive work environment for his loyal employees, and provide for his wife and eight children.

Knowledge and Heart

With the heart of an entrepreneur and a great knowledge of business, he grew Milgro to be one of the top nurseries in the nation. As additional production space was needed to accommodate an increasing demand for Milgro product, he expanded the greenhouses with a second location in Newcastle, Utah, a prime location using geothermal energy. Now a second-generation operation, Gary has many of his children, brothers, extended family members, and original employees who became like family that are continuing his legacy in bringing the best varieties of blooming and green plants to grocery stores and retailers across the country.

Today Milgro continues to be known in the floral industry as one of the largest growers of blooming plants, green plants and succulents. We are proud of our superior quality of potted floral and innovative marketing concepts. We promote plants and flowers as a lifestyle and are constantly trialing and researching new product to bring to our customers.
